Clifford the big red dog

 Clifford the big red dog was another cartoon that was On PBS Kids and I think my mother had Clifford books. 

Clifford was published in1963–2015.Clifford the Big Red Dog is an American children's book series and media franchise focusing on the adventures of an 8-year-old blonde-haired girl named Emily Elizabeth and her titular pet: a gigantic, love-filled, red-furred dog named Clifford. It was first published in 1963 and was written by Norman Bridwell.

They also had Clifford The movie and it was real people playing the parts of each charatcer. That Clifford movie is life action.

Norman Bridwell is the author and the creator of the Clifford  the big red dog. The was a Clifford TV show and when I first saw Clifford I thought it started out as a TV show.
