How every candy was first invented



Hans Riegel- He invented Gummy Bears,Gummy worms and Gummy Dinosaurs.

Salt water Taffy- Taffy was first created in the late 19th century appellation which most likely originated in New Jersey in the U.S and has become a common souvenir of many coastal resort towns. 

Modern commercial taffy is made primarily from corn syrup, glycerin and butter.
 Laffy Taffy-I think is invented by Flick I am not sure. Taffy is created by the original Taffy called Salt Water. It's an variety of soft taffy originally produced and marketed in Atlantic City, New Jersey, beginning in the late 19th century. The most popular explanation of the name is that of a candy-store owner, David Bradley, whose shop was flooded during a major storm in 1883.

Starburst - that is invented by  Starburst was originally known as Opal Fruits. It's the brand name of an box shaped it's an fruitflavored soft taffy candy manufactured by The Wrigley Company, a subsidiary of Mars, Incorporated.

Skittles - is invented by Skittles were created by commercially in 1974 by an British company. They were first introduced in North America in 1979 as an import confectionery. In 1982, domestic production of Skittles began in the USA.

M&M's- Was created by Forrest Mars, Sr. M&M's first commercial was in 1941

Chocolate- Was created by The creation of the first modern chocolate bar is credited to Joseph Fry. He discovered that he could make a moldable chocolate paste by adding melted cacao butter back into Dutch cocoa.He did that in 1847. When it was 1868, their was a small company called Cadbury was marketing boxes of chocolate candies are in Europe in the country called England.

Chocolate Chips- Ruth Graves Wakefield invented Chocolate chips

Hershey Kisses - Is invented by The Hershey Kisses were first introduced in 1907. The first Hershey Kisses use to be wrapped by hand but that was in 1921, a machine was made so the Kisses would be wrapped automatically.

Chocolate Hershey's Bar- That was invented by Milton Snavely Hershey That is probably why he called his chocolate Hershey's because of his last name.

Candy Cane- Was Invented in the Firstcandy canes were not created in Indiana a country in Asia since the Primary reports of The hard candy sticks the precursor to candy canes come from the 17th century way before Indiana was even a glimmer in some secessionist's eye. And it turns out that white candy sticks were actually quite common at Christmas.

Candy Corn- Is invented by  George Renninger people usually eat that candy when it's Halloween.

Dots-Where invented by-  in 1945 by Mason and trademarked that year. In 1972, Tootsie Roll Industries acquired the Dots brand by purchasing the Mason Division of Candy Corporation of The United States of America.

Jolly Ranches are created by- Bill Harmsen

Jaw Busters was invented in - Prior to when Ferrara Pan started creating the product. A lot of human beans in the candy industry also developed also called "Jawbreaker".

 Once Ferrara Pan became successful with the Jaw Breaker product, they began to establish credibility which led to creating a prominent brand within the company.

Swedish Fish was invented by- Malaco

Sugar Babies where invented by-  A man named Sugar Daddy was creating it  in 1925 by chocolate salesman Robert Welch (1899-1985) the younger boy who happened to be the younger brother James O. Welch (1906-85) founded the James O. Welch Company in 1927. Sugar Daddy was originally called the Papa Sucker. The name was changed to Sugar Daddy in 1932.

Gum Balls - where Invented in 
Although vending machines for stick or block shaped gum were seen as early as 1888, the originally machines are to carry real gumballs were not seen until 1907 it was probably released first by the Thomas Adams Gum Co. in the USA.

Kit Kats where invented in- Kit Kat is an chocolate-covered wafer cookie bar confection created by Rowntree's of York, United Kingdom, and is now produced globally by Nestlé, which acquired Rowntree in 1988, and closed it in 2006, with the exception of the United States where it is made under license by H.B. Kit Kat is like chocolate with a cookie inside.

Crunch was invented in- The Nestle Crunch was introduced in 1938, invented in Nestle's Fulton the New York factory. The bar is mixed with milk chocolate with crisped rice, which makes the candy bar crunchy as well as a malted barley flavor to it.

Twizzlers are invented by-Young and Smylie

Frank Galatolie invented Sour Patch and Sour Patch Kids

Jujubes and Jujy Fruits are Invented by-The Heide company that created the Juju candies was first started by Henry Heidi his a German immigrant in 1869. The company introduced Jujyfruits and Jujubes in 1920.

Butter Fingers Is created by- Curtiss Candy Company 

Mike and Ikes where invented by- Mike and Ikes are one of the best fruit-flavored candies that are on the market amd stores in peoples opinions today because the flavor of the candy just explodes in the mouth with every bite. Twix where invented by-
Twix was primarily  produced in the United Kingdom that's a country in Europe. In 1979 it was introduced in the U.S.A. Twix is a chocolate bar which consists of milk chocolate, biscuit and caramel and is made by Mars Inc. It comes in variety of flavors.Dec 13, 2011
